When a rancher spies a foreign cow meandering through the pasture he /she will not automatically assume the animal belongs to no one and can now be used or abused according to their own desires.
Under normal neighborly circumstances the farmer will identify and
Return the bovine beast to its rightful owner or at least they
Will contact the cow-tender to let them know where
Their critter is so it may be safely herded back
To the homeland. If it works this well with
Beasts of burden we might consider
Contemplating thoughts from
Distant fields with similar
Regard and appreciation
Rather than discounting
Them and offhandedly
Denigrating their
Purveyors.
