Hello, my name is Barry Williams and I am a Wrongaholic.

Never heard of us?

Well, a Wrongaholic is a person, animal or thing which is resistant to admitting it / they make mistakes. This inability to assume credit for misdeeds allows bad ideas to start and wrong concepts to continue.

Us Wrongaholics cause a pile of hurt feelings and avoidable heartache through our inability to acknowledge errors we have made or are in the process of making.

There, I feel better for just telling you this information and I uh, believe I just knocked off another one of the Twelve Steps by doing so! Whoo Hoo! 😎

Okay, lets get this pity party started with the first big step to becoming a full fledged Wrongaholic.  Please place your right hand (unless you are left handed) over your heart and say these words out loud:

I admit that I am powerless over making mistakes even though I would friggin dearly love to stop making them.

Step 1 – Admit that you are powerless over mistakes and understand that there is no way come hell or high water to avoid making them. They just IS.

The only people who THINK they are avoiding making mistakes are the people who choose to do nothing but that in itself is a big mistake. Doing nada adds to entropy and uh, check into it, we have enough of that already.

What we need in the world is more people calling things like they are and that can only come from us being willing to admit our mistakes.

Go ahead, try it. Fess up to yourself about something in your life that has gone sideways. You’ll feel much better, I guarantee you.

Oh, and next time its your turn to bring snacks…

Thank you, friend.

Barry out.

Much of what I write will be quite understandable to insane folks.

The rest will be, uh, less understandable...
